The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA will probably be rendering companies such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency said it really is alarmed about the large amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a substantial amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This can be mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The company issue produced for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it challenging for your Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more resources to help the servicing of all consumers click here and increase use of Social Assistance companies,” the agency said.
